Our Events
Day on Bay
Holiday Sale
As one of our staple events, Day-on-Bay presents a viewpoint of the lives of real estate professionals in Toronto. Every year, 40 selected Queen’s students are taken into industry-leading offices to experience young real estate professionals' daily lives. Throughout the event, participants have opportunities to network with professionals, build meaningful connections, gain insights, and learn about future career opportunities. The events are broken down into three tours, several panels, keynote speakers, catered lunches, and unique networking periods.
The event takes place late in the winter semester, prior to the final examination period. Delegates are selected from all programs within the Queen’s University community. Delegate numbers have grown year-over-year as general interest in real estate has flourished across campus. The ultimate goal is to expand real estate opportunities beyond the traditional bounds of a classroom and into the real world.
Past sponsors include, but are not limited to, Oxford Properties Group, First National Financial, CBRE, Dream Unlimited, Fengate Asset Management, and Hines.

A talented pool of nearly 100 delegates from Queen's University brings unique skill sets from all undergraduate educational backgrounds and works together to solve real estate challenges and sharpen their skills.
QRIC offers unique opportunities for firms to gain exposure to a broad range of high-calibre students across all faculties who have a genuine passion for learning more about the real estate industry. First Year Housing Event
Holiday Sale
At QRIA, we understand the stress of sourcing a new place to live, and it’s for this reason that we hold our annual first-year housing event. We encourage all students, the majority of whom are first-year students leaving residences, to attend this event and learn how to navigate the Kingston student housing market.
Each year, we invite property management companies such as Frontenac Property Management, Panadew Property Management, Highpoint Properties, and more to speak to present currently available rental properties, walkthrough website navigation, and inform students on timelines and total properties under management. All firms distribute contact information, which students use to reach out regarding specific listings. Following presentations, students are then able to network with the managers at firms and directly inquire about competitive properties.
This event is a great initiative for helping young Queen’s students from various programs understand house sourcing, and it takes a great deal of stress off of the students. This event's delegate base has grown year-over-year with the help of our marketing team and word of mouth communication, proving a need for this service.
